About Vertex Principles Group LLC

Cicely Williams is the founder of Vertex Principles Group and has over twenty years of experience in the accounting industry. Over the course of her career and particularly in leadership roles, Cicely has routinely encountered situations in which accounting professionals, who were well-credentialed on paper, often lacked proficiency in the fundamental knowledge and skills that are necessary to effectively and efficiently provide high-level accounting services in practice. Cicely founded Vertex Principles Group in an effort to close this knowledge and skills gap for her clients, freeing up their time, energy, and resources to further grow their business. 

Prior to founding Vertex Principles Group, Cicely earned her B.A. in accounting from Seattle University. Her experience in public accounting at the senior level at Grant Thornton LLP; honed her skills in developing and installing protocols to meticulously resolve technical accounting issues. In addition, her work in the private accounting sector, with twelve years as a controller, allowed her to undertake all aspects of accounting operations, including the development of staff. Cicely is well-versed in building extremely trusting and effective working partnerships. She brings an open mindset, transparency, and qualified guidance in helping her clients reach their financial reporting goals.
